“There are many little ways to enlarge your child’s world. Love of books is the best of all.”
- Jacqueline Kennedy
More About Me
As a young girl, I loved to read. I would stay up late devouring books that gave me a new perspective on the world. As I grew, I learned about the importance of early reading and its impact on one's future academic achievements. I dreamed of writing books that would enthrall young minds and make reading time exciting for children and adults.
During my early years as a doctor, I realised how little healthcare information is immediately available to those who need it most. Like many other healthcare workers, I believe that a healthy relationship with self begins at a young age. When we provide children with the tools to learn ie reading, and the information to better themselves, we develop a nation of independent thinkers.
My belief in the importance of childhood reading and health education has led me to publish my first book. 'Boogie the Booger' is a delightful tale of a booger's journey through a busy classroom. When Emma sneezes boogie is propelled into the class and moves from one person to the next. As we follow Boogie we see how easy it is for germs to spread and the simple steps one can take to stop them.
With more projects in the work, I look forward to this journey as an author.
